Goal Semiconductor announced that its FLASH 8051-based VERSA microcontroller families are now RoHS-compliant, aligning with its go green initiative. Available in 44-pin PLCC, 44-pin QFP, and 40-pin DIP packages, the lead-free product lines include VRS1xxx (64/128K Flash, 1K RAM, ISP/IAP), VRS5xx (4–64K Flash, 128–4K RAM), VRS700 (64K Flash, 4K RAM), and VRS900 mixed-signal MCU (8K Flash, 256 bytes RAM, 4-channel 8-bit ADC, 14-segment LCD driver). Goal is a Montreal-based fabless mixed-signal IC supplier founded in 1992.
